Italy has re-discovered its wellness tradition in the last years, as the demand for “me-time” has grown enormously. Alpine wellness

“Alpine wellness” identifies the farmers’ knowledge of the therapeutic virtues of natural ingredients like milk, herbs, fruit, hay and so on. Farmers have observed the positive effects of these natural ingredients along the centuries and that’s why many wellness hotels in Italy re-evaluated them. One of the most famous examples of Alpine wellness is the South Tyrolean “hay bath”, invented by South Tyrolean farmers; it’s very useful in case of the locomotor apparatus disorders and it’s also useful in case of cellulite, as sweating during this wellness treatment is intense.
