Bolzano is the capital city of South Tyrol, in the background of the city are visible the fascinating rock faces of the Catinaccio, Bolzano itself is a meeting point between South and North. Moreover Bolzano is nominated for the UNESCO cultural heritage of 2019!

Meran ist nach Bozen die zweitgrößte Stadt Südtirols, sie war über Jahrhunderte hinweg Landeshauptstadt Tirols und liegt in einem malerischen und geschützten Talkessel, welcher teils von über 3000 m hohen Bergketten umgeben ist. In den Talkessel münden berühmte Täler wie das Passeiertal, der Vinschgau oder das Etschtal. Der Talkessel ist nach Süden hin offen wodurch hier ein mediterranes Klima herrscht, da die hohen Berge der Texelgruppe die Stadt nach Norden hin vor kalten Winden schützen. Somit gedeihen in Meran auch zahlreiche mediterrane Pflanzen wie Palmen, Lorbeer oder Myrthen. Die Stadt ist schon seit dem 19. Jahrhundert als Kurort bekannt, dies vor allem wegen dem milden Klima und der reinen Luft, somit eignet sie sich seit jeher als Luftkurort.

Hier gibt es durchschnittlich 300 Sonnentage im Jahr. Meran war im Habsburgerreich eine wahre Touristenhochburg, viele Gäste der Politik und Kultur verbrachten hier ihren Kuraufenthalt. Noch heute steht die Kurstadt für Erholung und Wellness, dafür steht vor allem das moderne Bauwerk der Therme Meran. Der Kubus aus Stein, Glas und Kubus wurde im Zentrum der Stadt auf einem 50.000 m² großen Thermengelände errichtet, er wurde vom Stararchitekten Matteo Thun entworfen und im Jahre 2005 erbaut. Seitdem ist die Therme Meran ein Wellnesstempel, welcher zahreiche Pools, einen weitläufigen Thermenpark, thermale Behandlungen, Saunas und Dampfbäder sowie Beauty und Spa bietet. Hier werden auch alpine Anwendungen mit Traubenkernöl, Ultner Schurwolle, Äpfeln oder Heu geboten. Weitere berühmte Bauwerke sind das an der Passerpromenade liegende Kurhaus oder die Landesfürsltiche Burg, auch der Pulverturm, die Synagoge oder die Altstadt mit der Laubengasse sind erwähnenswert.

Oberhalb von Meran in Dorf Tirol thront das Schloss Tirol. Die Stadt bietet außerdem interessante Museen wie das Touriseum, ein Museum über den Tourismus in Südtirol, welches im Schloss Trauttmansdorff eröffnet wurde. Das Schloss ist umgeben von den berühmten Gärten von Schloss Trauttmansdorff, wo verschiedenste Pflanzen und Vegetationen wachsen und besichtigt werden können. Berühmt ist außerdem das Skigebiet Meran 2000, welches oberhalb der Stadt auf rund 2000 m Höhe liegt und bequem mit einer modernen Kabinenbahn zu erreichen ist.

Caldaro is a popular tourist destination in South Tyrol, the town is located on the famous lake of Caldaro, which from May to October offers perfect conditions for a lake holiday with leisure activities like sailboarding, sailing or pedal boat tours.

Appiano is called the „land of wines and castles“, it’s perfect for people who love culture and especially wine culture. Moreover the surroundings of Appiano offer numerous culinary events, as for instance the Wine Culture Weeks of San Paolo.

The Renon high plateau time ago was called „the mountain of Bolzano“ and still today people can reach it in few minutes from Bolzano using the modern funicular of Renon. On the high plateau visitors can discover numerous excursions and walks with a wonderful panorama over the Dolomites!

This tourist town is located in the Val di Fiemme, which is one of the three Ladin valleys of Trentino and takes part of the „Dolomiti Superski“- area. Cavalese is the main town of the valley, it’s the place where the popular biathlon- event “Marcialonga” takes place.

Madonna di Campiglio is the most famous ski resort of Trentino, even for the mountain holidays or for cultural holidays this place offers perfect conditions. In Madonna di Campiglio people can learn a lot about the Habsburgs story visiting for example the popular “Habsburgs carnival”.

Torbole is a locality on lake Garda, even the suburb Nago takes part of it. Nago it’s located on the mountain with a singular panorama over Benaco. Torbole is a wonderful destination for wellness, for sail boarder, for free climber or mountainbiker. There are two strongholds belonging to the Austrian- Hungary empire at Torbole, which today shelter the municipal museum, even Goethe has been at Torbole!

Riva is a famous destination for sail boarders, thanks to the constant winds, which blow over the lake. Furthermore Riva is the setting for numerous music events; the most popular one is the “Musica Riva Festival”, which is distinguished by international musicians like Gloria Gaynor or Placido Domingo.

Moena is the most important tourist center of the Fassa valley; the Fassa valley belongs to the Ladin valleys of the Dolomites. Moreover Moena is part of the skiing area “Dolomiti Superski” and it’s surrounded by a singular mountain scenery: Sasso lungo, Catinaccio and Latemar. Even one of the most popular Italian biathlon- champions, Cristian Zorzi, lives here.

Vigo di Fassa it’s one of the main ski resorts of Trentino, the town is located in the Fassa valley and it’s a part of the skiing area “Dolomiti Superski”. In summer Vigo di Fassa offers a singular trekking paradise and represents a perfect starting point to explore the Catinaccio, which is a singular mountain massif and a natural border between Trentino and South Tyrol.
